Abstract: Compares strength of iceberg ice and artificial snow ice by dropping 60 kg cylindrical indenter at velocity of 2 m s⁻¹ onto ice blocks measuring 27x20x15 cm. Maximum impact strength of iceberg ice was 17.35 MPa and of artificial snow ice 20.54 MPa. Information useful for designing and testing offshore structures.
