Abstract: Bain's theoretical model extended to calculation of accretion shape and velocity in pure water clouds, ice accretion being measured during two test flights in stratus clouds. Good agreement obtained between calculated and measured ice accretion. Effect of high liquid water content on ice accretion was not proportional.
