Record #74982:

Moisture availability and lichen growth: the effects of snow cover and streams on lichenometric measurements / John L. Innes.

Title: Moisture availability and lichen growth: the effects of snow cover and streams on lichenometric measurements / John L. Innes.
Author(s): Innes, John L.
Date: 1985.
In: Arctic and Alpine Research. (1985.), Vol. 17(4) (1985)
Abstract: Prolonged snow cover and streams exert influence on growth rates of Rhizocarpon section Rhizocarpon taxa, with implications for lichenometric dating on glacier forelands. At some sites, negative influences may be balanced or outweighed by effects of increased moisture availability, resulting in increased growth at particular points.
Notes:

Keywords: 551.321 -- Glaciological methods and instruments.
