Record #74817:

The effect of sample length and diameter on ice minimum creep rates in compression / S.A. Williams, T.H. Jacka.

Title: The effect of sample length and diameter on ice minimum creep rates in compression / S.A. Williams, T.H. Jacka.
Author(s): Williams, S. A.
Jacka, T. H.
Date: 1985.
In: ANARE Research Notes. (1985.), Vol. 28 (1985)
Abstract: Tests on cylindrical polycrystalline samples of ice in uniaxial compression with diameters ranging from 16.2 to 64.9 mm and lengths from 17.4 to 132.3 mm showed that minimum strain rates are dependent on sample diameter but not on length, they are independent of crystal size, and also independent of ratio of sample size to crystal size.
