Record #74419:

Thermally and mechanically induced regelation of ice / Kaoru Horiguchi, R.D. Miller.

Title: Thermally and mechanically induced regelation of ice / Kaoru Horiguchi, R.D. Miller.
Author(s): Horiguchi, Kaoru.
Miller, R. D.
Date: 1985.
Publisher: Cambridge: International Glaciological Society
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1985.), Vol. 6 (1985)
Abstract: Describes use of "ice sandwich" apparatus for studying process which resembles regelation. At temperature slightly below zero, ice filling smooth-walled chamber with porous phase barriers at each end moves through chamber; supercooled water passes through one barrier and freezes as ice melts at other barrier and emerges as supercooled water.
