Record #74276:

The state of balance of the Antarctic ice sheet - an updated assessment 1984 / William F. Budd, I.N. Smith.

Title: The state of balance of the Antarctic ice sheet - an updated assessment 1984 / William F. Budd, I.N. Smith.
Author(s): Budd, William F.
Smith, I. N.
Date: 1985.
Publisher: Washington, D.C.: United States. Department of Energy
In: Glaciers, ice sheets, and sea level : effect of a CO₂-induced climatic change. Report of a workshop held in Seattle, Washington September 13-15, 1984. (1985.),
Abstract: Total influx of about 2 x 10 km³ a⁻¹ is probably nearly balanced by outflow, with discrepancy in range 0 to +20%. Represents about 6 mm a⁻¹ of sea-level change. Net gain of 0 to 20% therefore represents net decrease contribution to sea level of about 0 to 1.2 mm a⁻¹.
