| Abstract: | Presents results from two strainmeter rosettes frozen to sheet of unfractured and nearly snow-free first-year sea ice consisting of 2 cm thick polycrystalline ice underlain by 1 m thick anisotropic columnar zone. Grains in latter were elongate perpendicular to shore and c-axes lay parallel to shore. |
