Record #73664:
¹⁰Be variations in polar ice cores / J. Beer, and 9 others.
Title: | ¹⁰Be variations in polar ice cores / J. Beer, and 9 others. |
Author(s): | Beer, J. |
Date: | 1985. |
Publisher: | Washington, D.C.: American Geophysical Union |
In: | Greenland ice core : geophysics, geochemistry, and the environment. (1985.), |
Abstract: | Firn samples measured from Dye 3, Greenland, from surface to 100 m depth, representing precipitation of last 140 a, in order to study short-term fluctuations of ¹⁰Be caused by changes of solar activity (i.e. 11-a solar cycle). In addition, ¹⁰Be variations in ice from 1600 to 1900 m depth studied, representing precipitation from 13 to 6 ka BP, in order to study long-term fluctuations and changing conditions, comparing with results from Antarctic. |
Notes: | In: Greenland ice core : geophysics, geochemistry, and the environment / Chester C. Langway, Jr, Hans Oeschger, Willi Dansgaard, eds. |
Keywords: | 551.324.84 -- Land ice, impurities. 524.1 -- Cosmic rays. E5 -- Glaciology: land ice. (*38) -- Greenland. |
