Record #73651:

Patterns of glacial erosion and deposition around Cumberland Sound, Frobisher Bay and Hudson Strait, and the location of ice streams in the eastern Canadian Arctic / John T. Andrews, Jay A. Stravers, Gifford H. Miller.

Title: Patterns of glacial erosion and deposition around Cumberland Sound, Frobisher Bay and Hudson Strait, and the location of ice streams in the eastern Canadian Arctic / John T. Andrews, Jay A. Stravers, Gifford H. Miller.
Author(s): Andrews, John T.
Stravers, Jay A.
Miller, Gifford H.
Date: 1985.
Publisher: Boston, MA: Allen and Unwin
In: Models in geomorphology. (1985.),
Abstract: These areas would have experienced enormous discharge of ice if Laurentide ice ridge in Hudson Bay collapsed. Points out that all three troughs may be descended from pre-Cambrian structures and experienced later glacial modification. Neither sound nor bay were affected by Quaternary ice streams. Complex conditions in strait are discussed.
