Record #73613:

Glacioclimatic studies of a high Arctic plateau ice cap, part 1: mass balance / Raymond S. Bradley, Mark C. Serreze.

Title: Glacioclimatic studies of a high Arctic plateau ice cap, part 1: mass balance / Raymond S. Bradley, Mark C. Serreze.
Author(s): Bradley, Raymond S.
Serreze, Mark C.
Date: 1985.
Publisher: Amherst, Massachusetts: University of Massachusetts, Department of Geology and Geography
In: Glacial geologic and glacio-climatic studies in the Canadian high Arctic. (1985.),
Abstract: Measurements renewed in 1982 and 1983 (since 1972 and 1976) on "St Patrick Bay ice caps", Ellesmere Island. Since 1976, mass losses average -70 to -140 kg m² a⁻¹ and ice caps have decreased in area. Not in equilibrium with contemporary climate but are remnants of former climatic conditions. Should disappear in next 200 to 300 years.
