Title: Evaluation of ice bridges in the vicinity of Fort Chipewyan, Alberta / R. Alex Harrington, A.W. Lipsett.
Author(s): Harrington, R. Alex.
Lipsett, A. W.
Date: [1984]
Publisher: Montreal: Canadian Society for Civil Engineering
In: Proceedings Third International Specialty Conference Cold Regions Engineering "Northern Resource Development", April 4, 5 and 6, 1984, Edmonton, Alberta. ([1984]), Vol. 2.
Abstract: Vehicular traffic can reach this community only during winter months when roads are constructed on floating ice. Alternate route sought to reduce number of crossings and to enable earlier operation, but not deemed feasible because of nature and process of ice formation at site.
