The control of frost action in unbound materials / R.J. Kettle, E.Y. McCabe.
Title: | The control of frost action in unbound materials / R.J. Kettle, E.Y. McCabe. |
Author(s): | Kettle, R. J. McCabe, E. Y. |
Date: | [1984] |
Publisher: | Montreal: Canadian Society for Civil Engineering |
In: | Proceedings Third International Specialty Conference Cold Regions Engineering "Northern Resource Development", April 4, 5 and 6, 1984, Edmonton, Alberta. ([1984]), Vol. 1. |
Abstract: | Deals with role of mechanical stabilization in controlling frost susceptibility of soils. Three types of coarse particles (slag, basalt, limestone) were used as stabilizing agents, each subdivided into two particle groups: 20 to 3.35 mm and 37.5 to 20 mm. Results discussed. |
Notes: | In: Proceedings Third International Specialty Conference Cold Regions Engineering "Northern Resource Development", April 4, 5 and 6, 1984, Edmonton, Alberta. Vol. 1. / Daniel W. Smith, ed. |
Keywords: | 624.139.62 -- Permafrost control. E12 -- Glaciology: frozen ground / snow and ice engineering. |
