Record #71425:

Iceberg stability and draft changes / N. Grande, C. Guillaud.

Title: Iceberg stability and draft changes / N. Grande, C. Guillaud.
Author(s): Grande, N.
Guillaud, C.
Date: [1984]
Publisher: Montreal: Canadian Society for Civil Engineering
In: Proceedings Third International Specialty Conference Cold Regions Engineering "Northern Resource Development", April 4, 5 and 6, 1984, Edmonton, Alberta. ([1984]), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Iceberg scour marks have been found in bathymetric valleys, indicating that iceberg must have changed its orientation in water to new stable position with increased draft. Computer model used to determine possible stable conditions as well as energy needed to rotate iceberg from one stable position to another. Four iceberg shapes and two draft change mechanisms were analyzed. Additions to text, see Vol.3, p.1180-1184.
