Record #71119:

Sampling of snow and ice on lakes / W. Peter Adams, N.T. Roulet.

Title: Sampling of snow and ice on lakes / W. Peter Adams, N.T. Roulet.
Author(s): Adams, W. Peter.
Roulet, N. T.
Date: 1984.
In: Arctic. (1984.), Vol. 37(3) (1984)
Abstract: Suggests that it may be possible to select sites which will provide average values for lake-cover components or which will encompass range of conditions present on any one lake. Maps based on three years' data on late-winter snow and ice cover of Elizabeth Lake, Labrador, and displaying results in terms of mean and standard deviations, could provide basis for designing ice and snow surveys in medium-sized lakes in snowy catchments.
Notes:

Arctic. Vol. 37(3) :270-275 (1984).

Keywords: 551.32 -- Glaciology.
551.326 -- Floating ice.
551.326.85 -- Lake ice.
E6 -- Glaciology: floating ice.
(*60) -- Arctic Ocean and adjacent waters.
