Record #69327:

Deuterium and oxygen 18 in precipitation: modeling of the isotopic effects during snow formation / Jean Jouzel, Liliane Merlivat.

Title: Deuterium and oxygen 18 in precipitation: modeling of the isotopic effects during snow formation / Jean Jouzel, Liliane Merlivat.
Author(s): Jouzel, Jean.
Merlivat, Liliane.
Date: 1984.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1984.), Vol. 89(D7) (1984)
Abstract: Formulates model that leads to better agreement between experimental and theoretical results, and will serve as basis for interpretation of palaeoclimatic data. Takes into account existence of isotopic kinetic effect at snow formation as result of vapour deposition taking place in environment supersaturated over ice. Compares model predictions with data from Antarctic.
Notes:

Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 89(D7) :11749-11757 (1984).

Keywords: 551.578.41 -- Snow, structure, composition and temperature.
E9 -- Glaciology: meteorology and climatology.
