Abstract: Germans were surprised by Finnish command to leave by 15 Sep. They tried to land on Suursaari, Gulf of Finland, but kept off Swedish territory including Åland Islands. They were afraid of Soviet attack in North, where major battle with Finland began. Sweden moved division to eastern border, and allowed Finnish wounded into their hospitals, besides 56 000 evacuees with cattle. Later Sweden provided transport back. Sweden was second to USA in aid for Finland.
