Verknader av fleirspråklegheit på språket og språkbrukaren / Ove Lorentz.

Title: Verknader av fleirspråklegheit på språket og språkbrukaren / Ove Lorentz.
Translated title: Effects of multilingualism on language and language user.
Author(s): Lorentz, Ove.
Date: 1982.
Publisher: Oslo: Det Norske Samlaget
Language: Norwegian.
In: Nordnorsk. Språkarv og språkforhold i Nord-Noreg. (1982.),
Abstract: Discusses general problem of multi-, or mainly biligualism. Mother tongue is part of one's identity and usually what one thinks in. Notion of one language being sign of superiority has to be scouted. Effect of one language on one's use of another is seen in that of Saami word order on Norwegian. Those who remember things by name may get different answers in memory test. Immigrant children are not necessarily quicker on uptake than their parents - they are more immersed in conversation in new language. Effective bilingualism must use both languages in wide range of conditions. No developed language is limited to only few themes.
