Abstract: | Pälsi travelled to Chukchi peninsula, Anadyr River and Bering Strait following previous journey for Finno-Ugrian Society to northern Mongolia and Lake Baikal. He went by trans-Siberian and fishing boat to mouth of Anadyr, Kamchatka and around by Nome to Japan. He brought back tools, slate and walrus ivory drawings (very lively) and photographs from northern Siberia for Society and wrote three books, one for young, among over 50 works. |
