Dwellings were assumed to be near burials, and rectangular hearths with unburnt bones of reindeer were found. Shape, size and location corresponded with Saami gåtie (kåta). Reindeer bones cannot be classified as wild or tame. Other bones belong to sheep/goats and teeth to cattle. Pollen diagrams were constructed from hay meadow at cemetery and bog near dwelling site in forest and three datings were calibrated with Arizonan bristle cone pine material. First culture period was identified as at end of Stone Age. |
