Record #46957:

A method for setting a lower limit on the water layer thickness at the bottom of an ice sheet from the time required for upwelling of water into a borehole / Johannes Weertman.

Title: A method for setting a lower limit on the water layer thickness at the bottom of an ice sheet from the time required for upwelling of water into a borehole / Johannes Weertman.
Author(s): Weertman, Johannes.
Date: 1970.
Publisher: Gentbrugge: International Association of Scientific Hydrology ;
In: International Symposium on Antarctic Glaciological Exploration (ISAGE), Hanover, New Hampshire, USA, 3-7 September 1968. (1970.),
Abstract: Investigates possibility that half time for completion of upwelling is related to thickness of this water layer. Shows that knowledge of half time can be used to set at least a lower limit to thickness of water layer.
Notes:

In: International Symposium on Antarctic Glaciological Exploration (ISAGE), Hanover, New Hampshire, USA, 3-7 September 1968 / Anthony J. Gow, Charles Keeler, Chester C. Langway, Wilford F. Weeks, eds.
