| Abstract: | Describes wind tunnel tests using baffles modelled at 1:10 or 1:20 scale to find most effective position and shape for controlling deposoit of wind-blown snow in avalanche accumulation zones. Finds flow pattern largely independent on wind speed, but dependenton inclination of baffle when at angle less than 70 degrees to tunnel floor. |
