Abstract: Chart of prehistoric remains used to show settlement along Norrland coast and around Storsjön. In 1940s industry and hydro expansion revealed lines of settlement along all rivers, with rock carvings, paintings and mounds of burnt stone. Finds show that these were hunters and fishers, but (rare) cemeteries indicate settlement.
