| Abstract: | Previous research had determined ability of urethane foam to provide protection for ice and snow surfaces from deterioration when subjected to summer season temperatures and solar radition in polar regions, but with two problem areas, trafficability and wind resistance. Report deals with these problems as well as transportation, storage, foam generation, application, and maintenance associated with providing protective cover for these surfaces. |
