Record #35606:

Ice budgets for Antarctica and changes in sea-level / Harry Wexler.

Title: Ice budgets for Antarctica and changes in sea-level / Harry Wexler.
Author(s): Wexler, Harry.
Date: 1961.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1961.), Vol. 3(29) (1961)
Abstract: Eight budgets for Antarctic ice sheet are examined. Five call for rates of increase of ice which are in good agreement considering wide dispersion of individual components of budgets. Observed rise in sea level of world's oceans would appear to contradict removal of water required to nourish ice sheet at claimed rates. Thermal expansion of oceanic columns, caused by climatic warming of oceans, has been invoked to resolve this contradiction, but it appears that this is not large enough.
