| Abstract: | Numerous types and sizes of drags were tested and evaluated during the development of the Navy's snow compaction techniques. As techniques were developed for constructing skiways, roads and runways on shallow and deep snow fields, two types of drags, along with other special equipment were found necessary to produce good-quality compacted snow. |
