| Abstract: | This study deals with the stratospheric warming in Oct-Nov. 1958 and emphasizes its bisymmetrical character and the consequences for high altitude circulation. Rapid stratospheric warming commences at different times in different regions, and the associated stratospheric jet stream follows a similar but limited pattern. |
