Abstract: | Proposal, based on reported locations of Rae relics, that ship should penetrate Peel Sound, set up winter quarters, and search both sides of Sound. A second steamer to winter at King William Land (approached via Bering Straits) and a third to ascend Great Fish River. Paper presented at meeting held on 24 November 1856. |
