Record #32732:

Wind transport of Antarctic snow / William W. Vickers.

Title: Wind transport of Antarctic snow / William W. Vickers.
Author(s): Vickers, William W.
Date: 1959.
In: International Geophysical Year. Bulletin. (1959.), Vol. 22 (1959)
Abstract: Qualitative investigations show that blowing snow is very similar to blowing sand; quantitative values primarily based on an established system of investigation are feasible. Such studies would be of great value in computing the wind-depleting factor for the glacier mass budget. Also: American Geophysical Union Trans. 40(2) :162-167, 1959.
Notes:

International Geophysical Year. Bulletin. Vol. 22 :4-9 (1959).

Keywords: 551.578.46 -- Snow cover and snow patches.
551.578.466 -- Snow, surface forms and drifts.
E10 -- Glaciology: snow and avalanches.
(*7) -- Antarctic regions.
