| Abstract: | Describes results so far obtained of research on crystallographic, stratigraphical and thermal properties of snow cover, and use of these data in avalanche investigations. Avalanche danger is predicted by comparing penetration resistance of snow layers, measured with rammsonde, with resistance graphs of typical avalanche situations. |
