Record #29289:

Icing measurements with a single rotating cylinder / C.K. Rush, R.L. Wardlaw.

Title: Icing measurements with a single rotating cylinder / C.K. Rush, R.L. Wardlaw.
Author(s): Rush, C. K.
Wardlaw, R. L.
Date: 1957.
Publisher: Ottawa: National Aeronautical Establishment. Canada
Abstract: Description of theoretical principles and method, based on assumption that ice is deposited evenly so that forward shape of an object remains constant and the volume of ice collected uniformly on the circumference is equated to a volume projecting forward on the cylinder, for calculating rate of icing and cloud water content from ice accretion on a single rotating cylinder.
Keywords: 624.142 -- Low temperature effects.
629.73 -- Aeronautical engineering.
E12 -- Glaciology: frozen ground / snow and ice engineering.
Location(s): SCO: SPRI-PAM: 624.142 : 629.73
SPRI record no.: 29289
