Record #22417:

The significance of air bubbles in glacier ice / Henri Bader.

Title: The significance of air bubbles in glacier ice / Henri Bader.
Author(s): Bader, Henri.
Date: 1950.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1950.), Vol. 1(8) (1950)
Abstract: Analysis of relation between air bubble in ice and water associated with it shows that it may be possible to determine maximum depth from which ice containing bubble has emerged. Describes shapes of cavities containing water and bubbles. Found to reflect anisotropism of ice crystals. Investigations carried out on old coarse-grained ice from Malaspina Glacier, Alaska.
Notes:

Journal of Glaciology. Vol. 1(8) :443-451 (1950).
