Analyses general factors contributing to relatively peaceful extraction of mineral resources: 1.Social organisation and traditions of conflict resolution; 2.Demography and geographically specific land use patterns; 3.Presence and absence of international attention; 4. Role of state and its approach to economic diversification. |
