Abstract: Presents transcendental construction of main ideas that guided management of austral region, namely peace, cooperation and science, and argues that principles of Antarctic Treaty System work as counterparts of immanent functioning of austral natural systems. Discusses possible ways of thinking anthropologically about scientific colonization of Antarctic in relation to immanence and transcendence.
