Abstract: Evaluates achievements of Stefansson's 1913-18 expedition in terms of contribution to knowledge of vertebrate species in Arctic Alaska and Canada. Overall, expedition collected and preserved 2,084 vertebrate specimens and inventoried 139 species. Almost all specimens are preserved at Canadian Museum of Nature.
