Record #214168:

Sabine's gull (Xema sabini) nesting aggregations in western Alaska / Christopher J. Norment, and 3 others.

Title: Sabine's gull (Xema sabini) nesting aggregations in western Alaska / Christopher J. Norment, and 3 others.
Author(s): Norment, Christopher J.
Date: 2015.
In: Northwestern Naturalist. (2015.), Vol. 96(2) (2015)
Abstract: Analyses data on nesting aggregations of Sabine's gulls (Xema sabini) observed in Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta (YKD), Alaska, between 1986-2013, to determine whether species is "solitary low-density nester" there, as in other parts of range. Finds considerable variation in nest-site selection and size of nesting aggregation in YKD and argues that this is consistent with species' overall behavioural flexibility.
