Record #214165:

Vp/Vs-ratios and anistotropy on the northern Jan Mayen Ridge, North Atlantic, determined from ocean bottom seismic data / Aleksandre Kandilarov, and 3 others.

Title: Vp/Vs-ratios and anistotropy on the northern Jan Mayen Ridge, North Atlantic, determined from ocean bottom seismic data / Aleksandre Kandilarov, and 3 others.
Author(s): Kandilarov, Aleksandre.
Date: 2015.
In: Polar Science. (2015.), Vol. 9(3) (2015)
Abstract: Analyses horizontal components of ocean bottom seismometer data set to improve understanding of lithology and crustal evolution of northern Jan Mayen Ridge, North Atlantic. Modelling suggests that northernmost part of ridge consists of Icelandic type oceanic crust, bordered to north by anomalously thick oceanic crust formed at Mohns spreading ridge. Modelled Vp/Vs ratios suggest variations in gabbroic composition and present-day temperatures in area.
