Record #214105:

Seismic explosion sources on an ice cap - technical considerations / Alexey Shulgin, Hans Thybo.

Title: Seismic explosion sources on an ice cap - technical considerations / Alexey Shulgin, Hans Thybo.
Author(s): Shulgin, Alexey.
Thybo, Hans.
Date: 2015.
In: Polar Science. (2015.), Vol. 9(1) (2015)
Abstract: Describes explosive refraction/wide-angle seismic experiment on ice cap in east-central Greenland conducted in 2011. Examines efficiency of explosive sources in ice cover. Discusses importance of using optimum depth for charges and careful sealing of boreholes given that ice cap traps significant amount of energy.
