| Abstract: | Presents vibroseismic system configuration with snowstreamer for over-ice long-distance seismic traverses. Evaluates in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica on ice sheet and ice shelf areas from 2010-14. Discusses means of propulsion of source system, including tractor and skis, sled and wheel treads (Mattracks). Systems proved suitable for examining subglacial and sub-seabed sediment layers, and englacial layering. |
