Abstract: Discusses role of Russian local government with regard to climate change (CC) adaptation measures and their regional reality. Presents interview data from survey of 14 Russian localities, which reveals that adaptation to CC is not high priority for majority due to more acute socio-ecoic concerns that remain to be addressed and due to budget limitations.
