Record #214030:

Seasonal movements and diving of ringed seals, Pusa hispida, in the western Canadian Arctic, 1999-2001 and 2010-11 / Lois A. Harwood, and 4 others.

Title: Seasonal movements and diving of ringed seals, Pusa hispida, in the western Canadian Arctic, 1999-2001 and 2010-11 / Lois A. Harwood, and 4 others.
Author(s): Harwood, Lois A.
Date: 2015.
In: Arctic. (2015.), Vol. 68(2) (2015)
Abstract: Investigates movements and diving behaviour of ringed seals (Pusa hispida) in Prince Albert Sound and eastern Amundsen Gulf regions in relation to season, sex, and age-category. Finds that extent of movements and range of locations of used by adult and sub-adult ringed seals during open water season were much greater than had been previously thought for this population. Confirms strong fidelity of adults (and, to some extent, sub-adults) to core winter habitats.
