Abstract: Summarises recent study of seismicity of Arctic mid-ocean ridge (active diverging plate boundary in Arctic Ocean) as ultraslow spreading ridge and presents comprehensive overview of all datasets acquired. Finds that magmatically robust ridge segments show more and stronger earthquakes than magma-starved ridge portions in teleseismic record. Also, all studied sites show small, locally recordable earthquakes at event rates of typically one event per two hours, regardless of location.
