Record #214006:

Ice melting and earthquake suppression in Greenland / M. Olivieri, G. Spada.

Title: Ice melting and earthquake suppression in Greenland / M. Olivieri, G. Spada.
Author(s): Olivieri, M.
Spada, G.
Date: 2015.
In: Polar Science. (2015.), Vol. 9(1) (2015)
Abstract: Discusses possible relationship between ice melting in Greenland and spatio-temporal distribution of seismicity. Describes model for mass balance of Greenland ice sheet during last decade. Introduces earthquake catalogue and analyses seismicity at regional (i.e., Greenland scale) and local scales, focusing on sectors currently subject to ice wastage. Discusses relationship between deglaciation and occurrence of earthquakes.
Notes:

Polar Science. Vol. 9(1) :94-106 (2015).

Special issue: Recent advances in polar seismology : global impact of the International Polar Year.
