Abstract: Describes laboratory investigation of frozen samples of fine-grained silts from Mabel Creek, Alaska, which liquefied during 2002 earthquake. Examines influence on dynamic properties of temperature changes from below freezing to near freezing and by freeze-thaw cycles using triaxial strain-controlled cyclic tests.
