Variations in permafrost temperature and stability of alpine meadows in the source area of the Datong River, northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China / Jung Li, and 4 others.

Title: Variations in permafrost temperature and stability of alpine meadows in the source area of the Datong River, northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China / Jung Li, and 4 others.
Author(s): Li, Jung.
Date: 2014.
In: Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (2014.), Vol. 25(4) (2014)
Abstract: Describes ground temperatures measured through 56 boreholes drilled between 2007-09 in source area of Datong River, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China, to observe vertical and horizontal permafrost patterns. Notes significant differences between typical meadow and swamp meadow, and discusses permafrost types and relationship to local environmental characteristics, vegetation cover and soil water content.
