Record #213312:
Temperature regimes of the active layer and seasonally frozen ground under a forest-steppe mosaic, Mongolia / Avirmed Dashtseren, and 3 others.
Title: | Temperature regimes of the active layer and seasonally frozen ground under a forest-steppe mosaic, Mongolia / Avirmed Dashtseren, and 3 others. |
Author(s): | Dashtseren, Avirmed. |
Date: | 2014. |
In: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (2014.), Vol. 25(4) (2014) |
Abstract: | Present five year time series of hydro-meteorological parameters at two types of locations in northern central Mongolia: permafrost underlying forested north-facing slopes; and seasonally frozen ground underlying south-facing mountain steppes. Concludes that forest cover keeps ground cool and allows permafrost to persist. |
Notes: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 25(4) :295-306 (2014). |
