Record #213215:

Numerical simulation of the impact of underlying surface changes on Arctic climate / Xiyang Liu, Huasheng Xia.

Title: Numerical simulation of the impact of underlying surface changes on Arctic climate / Xiyang Liu, Huasheng Xia.
Author(s): Liu, Xiyang.
Xia, Huasheng.
Date: 2014.
In: Advances in Polar Science. (2014.), Vol. 25(4) (2014)
Abstract: Reports results of two groups of numerical experiments to study influence on Arctic climate of changes in underlying surface (land surface, sea surface, and sea ice) from "mild ice years" to "severe ice years". Experiments used regional atmosphere model for Arctic climate simulation. Impact of changes in underlying surface on atmospheric temperatures was significant, and the largest difference was greater than 15 K.
Notes:

Advances in Polar Science. Vol. 25(4) :261-268 (2014).

Special issue: The rapid change of Arctic sea ice and its possible effects on high- and mid-latitude weather and climate (RCASI)

Keywords: 519.673 -- Modelling.
551.326.7 -- Sea ice.
551.524 -- Air temperature.
