Record #213051:

Photophysiological effects of Fe concentration gradients on diatom-dominated phytoplankton assemblages in the Antarctic Peninsula region / Arnaldo D'Amaral Pereira Granja Russo, and 5 others.

Title: Photophysiological effects of Fe concentration gradients on diatom-dominated phytoplankton assemblages in the Antarctic Peninsula region / Arnaldo D'Amaral Pereira Granja Russo, and 5 others.
Author(s): Russo, Arnaldo D'Amaral Pereira Granja.
Date: 2015.
Publisher: [Amsterdam]: Elsevier
Abstract: Investigates ecological and photophysiological responses of phytoplankton, such as size, community composition, nutrient usage and photosynthetic potential, under high irradiance levels and over iron concentration gradient, by means of 6-day deck incubation experiment during austral summer 2013 using phytoplankton populations from upper mixed layer in waters of Bransfield Strait. Results indicate that waters of study region were not limited by microelement Fe.
