Record #212754:

Pleistocene uplift and palaeoenvironments of Macquarie Island: evidence from palaeobeaches and sedimentary deposits / D.A. Adamson, and 4 others.

Title: Pleistocene uplift and palaeoenvironments of Macquarie Island: evidence from palaeobeaches and sedimentary deposits / D.A. Adamson, and 4 others.
Author(s): Adamson, D. A.
Date: 1996.
Publisher: [Hobart, Tas]: Royal Society of Tasmania
Abstract: Presents new evidence for date at which sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island emerged, its uplift rate and uplift rate of Macquarie Ridge Complex. Includes direct dating of raised beaches by thermoluminescence method; and cross-matching of world sea-level sequence during Mid- to Late Pleistocene with altitudinal sequence of beaches thought to have been formed by marine actions during previous periods of high sea level.
