Abstract: Briefly reports findings of 2014 Ozone Assessment and history of assessment. Notes continuing substantial ozone loss in Antarctic stratosphere in austral spring, with less severe stratospheric ozone loss in Arctic, and explains mechanism for this. Describes difficulties presented by ozone depleting substances in unrecycled old equipment, and unexpectedly slow decline of carbon tetrachloride in atmosphere.
