Characterizing the internal structure of laboratory ice samples with nuclear magnetic resonance / Timothy I. Brox, Mark L. Skidmore, Jennifer R. Brown.
Title: | Characterizing the internal structure of laboratory ice samples with nuclear magnetic resonance / Timothy I. Brox, Mark L. Skidmore, Jennifer R. Brown. |
Author(s): | Brox, Timothy I. Skidmore, Mark L. Brown, Jennifer R. |
Date: | 2015. |
In: | Journal of Glaciology. (2015.), Vol. 61(225) (2015) |
Abstract: | Uses nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of diffusion and magnetic relaxation to study geometry and interconnectivity of liquid-filled network in laboratory ice, and its evolution due to recrystallisation processes. Applies measurements to observe impact on ice microstructure of ice-binding protein isolated from Vostok ice core in Antarctica. |
Notes: | Journal of Glaciology. Vol. 61(225) :55-64 (2015). |
